i had a run in with cca national aka the first national merchant credit card advantage about 6 months ago. i thought it would help with my credit and it had a 30 day cancellation time well the package came with no posy mark and after the 30 days ran out. money was being taken out of myt account left and right notr only for their fees but for phone cards i knew nothing about, auto insurance i knew nothing about i spent two weeks calling personally each company to cancel had to threaten them with the attorney general to get my money back and the main company itself has actually given you a false phone number. im sorry i dont have the one i needed to reach them finally but the one they do give you is a fake. today is 10-1-2002 and i just received another offer to join them but this one is under a different name from the one i got 6 months ago but it is the same company when i read the very fine print. the calling card company and the auto insurance company were very good about giving my money back. it was cca i had trouble with and i believe it was the auto company that gave me the true number the cca company will give you money back with the threat of attorney general and they will require their package back.

also received the letter how I had been approved for $6,500 worth of credit

AUTHOR: Janice - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 05, 2004

Hi, I want to say something about cca first national merchant, I also received the letter
from them and the credit card telling me all about how I had been approved for $6,500 worth
of credit on this card. So I call the same night I received the card and the lady I spoke with name were Judy Kurkowski,(so she said) 0 She sounded so conviencing that I did give her my bank account information that night. The next day I call another number to have the application
date change from august 13 to august 27 when I would get paid at this time I spoke with a micheal warren, who agreed to do this. After I got home I decided to go on line and see if I could find out about the catalog that I would be receiving and to my supprise I found your web site and read about this rip off company.

I right away pick up the phone and call them to cancel a mr Ed Troopman answer my call and when I told him that I wanted to cancel he just tried everything he could to keep me as a client so I went alone with him and said ok after he offered to cut my application fee of 199.00 in half over 2 months I knew something were wrong then, so he supposely have put me on the phone with his supervisor and let me tell you this woman were so harsh with me that I knew that if I didnt think quick that I my bank account might be clean out the next day. so I told her that I did understand what she were saying and to send me the 2 cards and the Catalog and I ask her that if there were nothing in it that I wanted That I would be able to cancel before I get paid on the 27th because that would be when I get paid and she were so polite and said yes. I had seen a different side of this woman in 5 minuets well thanks to your web site it gave me a chance to do some quick thinking I immediately call my bank and put a stop on any money coming from my checking account.

The next day I went to the bank and check the balance in my checking account and explain to them what had happen and guess what one of the tellers in there said that they found out to about this rip off scam. well the scam is going to be on them because I close out that account and open up a new one so when they go to withdraw they will see that account is no longer open.I am also going to call that woman back and let her know that while she were trying to scam me she were being taken by me and I am also going to let her know that I am going to let everyone know about their Rip off company I have already made plenty of copies of the bogus letter and card that they have sent me and pass them out to people and I have also sent your web site to everyone I know with a computer .

I just want to thank you because reading these people stories save me and I just thank God that you were there. I hope this letter will help someone as yours have help me.
