I recently received one of those $6,500 Merchant Card notices and, like many others am in a very poor state financially. I agree that this company preys on those who are looking for a way to reestablish credit. It's aweful that they can't fess up to their behavior!

Thanks to this site, I decided not to go through with the "generous" offer. I couldn't find them in the BBB list for NV either. The first dead giveaway was that this offer is stupid for any company to follow through with! Who, other than people with A+ credit, get a card even if it's for a catalog, that has a $6,500 limit?
