I ordered pre-order leggings in mid November 2016. They were to ship November 30. One week after November 30th I emailed inquiring about my order because I had not received it and at that point their website indicated that my account was non existent. I never received a response to my message. Eventually I received an email stating orders would be received by Christmas. At this point the company closed their Facebook business page and was apparently only updating through their Facebook group. Several people inquired about their orders on the page only to have their comments removed. They were scolded by the administrators of the Facebook group.

A few of the admin on the group were incredibly condescending, rude, or downright ignorant of law. At this point I sent another email with my concerns and received no reply. At this point the company was claiming in the Facebook group that they were working on emails well after the dates of my messages. In total I sent 3 emails to the company, none of which were ever addressed. I finally reached out on the Facebook group page because I had seen other people receive information about their orders there before admin promptly deleted anything that could be construed as negative. I was told that I was not allowed to ask questions about my order in the group.

Because of the lack of communication with the company and being outright told I was not allowed to ask about my order, I immediately filed a claim and eventually received judgment in my favor from PayPal. The company never responded to my PayPal claim nor did they ever contact me personally except for the comment in the group. When I filed my PayPal claim in December, PayPal escalated the claim immediately. Last week I received an email stating that they had resolved and closed my email complaint. That is not true. I did receive my money back thanks to PayPal, but I do know there are others still waiting for resolution.

Response to CP's Rebuttal

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, August 05, 2017

Interesting rebuttal by Charlie's Project (CP). It's not all true, but it's interesting.

I'm going to address a few things.

First of all, if the shipping company hired by Charlie's Project was truly at fault, it would have been far more professional to have been forthcoming with that information at the get-go. Instead, CP just ignored the customers. The customer service was atrocious at best, condescending and vile at worst.

I know how PayPal works. CP's claims about their situation with PayPal are actually offensive to my intelligence and to the intelligence of other customers. When I did not receive my order from CP, I filed my claim directly through PayPal after my emails directly to CP remained unanswered. PayPal escalated my claim without waiting for CP to respond because at that point there were many cases against CP in PayPal. CP never responded to my PayPal claim and after the 10 day period that PayPal gives to merchants to respond, refunded my money. Basically, I "won" the case against CP.

In regard to the 4 to 6 week wait? That was absolutely not the case when I ordered and it was not anywhere on the website. I ordered in November and my order was expected to ship November 30 - give or take a day or so. It did not. I do know that after the holiday debacle started getting intense CP changed their website multiple times to try to reflect these delays and sort of dupe customers. It's insulting for CP to imply that I overlooked something that was not there.

Growing pains of a young company are completely understadable. However, had CP simply taken ownership of any of these issues instead of passing the blame on to their shipper, PayPal, and the customers, I would have been happy. That absolutely did not happen.

I was even removed from their Facebook group for asking a question about my order. I was told that I wasn't allowed to ask about orders, despite the fact that many others did so and received answers. At no point was I disrespectful or inappropriate in my post.

We are sorry to hear about your experience . However we had issues with our shippers during the holiday period due to an overwhelming response and demand. The PayPal claims were handled by us personally as PayPal doesn't initiate the refund themselves. When an order was placed we noted in several areas the wait period was 4-6 weeks however many overlooked this notice. Additionally we did not have the support staff to answer every email in a timely fashion during that time. Instead we focused on working with our shipper to ship the orders. Unfortunately they failed to meet the deadlines and as a result many orders could not be shipped in time. We initiated paypal refunds and didn't ship those orders as a refund was given. We apologize for your experience and glad you received your refund of $20.
