Charterstone Financial Group wanted me to wire my insurance claim from Hurricane Ike...talk about kicking me when I'm down! Englewood Cliffs New Jersey

I live in Houston and we were recently devastated by Hurricane Ike. My business partner and I just started a small business 7 months ago and desperately needed the money to relocate and restart our business. We both spoke with Anna Stewart with Charterstone Financial Group and were approved for a $15K business loan with a 6% interest rate. However, she stated that we'd have to bank wire a 4-month collateral deposit in "good faith" to prove to the lender that we were serious about rebuilding our business. We told her that we needed the loan from them because the money that we were receiving from our claim wasn't enough to relocate the business. She immediately said "wire us the money from the isurance claim and we'll wire you $15K the very next day!" OK, if they can wire us $15K in one day, then why would we have to send THEM money first? I'm so devastated that they would take advantage of us after all that we've been through. How can they live with the guilt? I'm so glad I found this Ripoff report!
