I have been dealing with Charterstone for about 3 weeks now. It wasn't until I read on here that I started even questioning the validity of Charterstone Financial. I, too, was in search of a loan and had applied on various online places. The lady that contacted me was named ANNA STEWART. She faxed me the first set on contracts with a lender in Canada. A few days later I told her that there was just no way that I could come up with the $6,000.00 down payment and just was uneasy about a lender in Canada. She called me back a few days later and said that the lender would take $2,000.00, but the application needed to be signed and returned no later than Monday.....today.

Needless to say that I won't be getting the loan. But, Thanks to all of you on here, I think I'm the one that is winning here.

I got a call from the company recently explaining to me how I was pre-approved for a $25,000 loan and that all I needed to do was to send in 10% of the loan amount. I told him it sounded too good to be true considering my difficulty getting credit in the past. He insisted that he was a "normal" person with similar issues and that he was authorized to issue money from wealthy folks who wanted to shield their income. I asked him what method he wanted to receive the funds and he stated through wire transfer. He told me he would fax me the contract; I will then wire the collateral monies; and he would then send me the $25,000 the next day. They have a pretty elaborate internet site (www.charterstonefinancial.com) that almost made me believe they were legitimate. I'm glad I did a more thorough search. Hate that you guys had to lose money on this but I definitely appreciate you saying the information so that others can avoid getting into more financial difficulties. Big-ups for looking out!! Thanks
