I started the Loan Mod Process 9/08 - I finally got it completed (or at least I thought I did) May, 2009 - I continued to get calls saying I owed 12 back payments - I would explain that I did have the modification - and they would say "oh - they are so far behind - you'll get your signed copy - we see where your paperwork was received and you've been making your new payment regularly" - - Now today - a guy shows up and is taking pictures and tells me he has a notice to give me -it says Urgent - call this # immediately - it was the 800 # for Chase - I've been going through this one to two times a week - I've found the men who call aggressive and rude - they will not look back at the notes in the computer and agrue that I need to pay the past due amount - the women who call - look back and see the notes and are sympathetic, but can not help me - THEN today - I'm told that yes they see where it was worked on - but they are pretty sure - - it expired! Now they want me to start the process over, which I truly don't want to do because now - - I'm unemployed. This has been the most stressful thing for me and I've done everything they ask as soon as they ask it - I was told that I would get a signed copy back as soon as they could get to it but they were being bombarded with helping people out - -

I don't know where to turn - they keep saying I'm not in danger of foreclosure - but I believe no one there any more - Isn't there something everyone could get together and do that is having problems with Chase?  All the issues seem to be similiar in nature - and does this not go against the Obama Plan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'm getting really nervous and scared - this people apparently are idiots - but I've been with them for about 15 years.

Hmmm

It sounds like what you had was not an actual loan modification but a temporary forbearance, which is a temporary loan on past missed payments.

OR, did you pay some company to redo your mortgage with Chase and that company told you not to make mortgage payments, or send them your payments?

If you owe 12 back payments how is this the banks fault?  Now you are unemployed, should the bank just let you live in the house they own for free?
