CHASE HOME FINANCE IMMEDIATELY APPLIED AND APPROVED FOR HOMEOWNERS ASSISTANCE THEN CHASE HOME FINANCE BEGINS FORECLOSURE PROCEDURES Columbus Ohio

Hurricane Ike victims - we immediately contacted our insurance company and Chase Home Finance - filed a claim and notified Chase of the damages to our home and my loss of income due to the storm. I made an online application for Homeowner's assistance on 9-15-08 - finally on November 7th, (after calling, faxing and emailing Chase at least ten times with no response), received letter from the homeowner's assistance department and it stated that they had placed our home on a 90 day moratorium due to the disaster. No late fees, no negative credit reporting and collection efforts would be implemented. This moratorium would be effective until December 12,2008. On November 19th, 2008, received, via certified mail from Chase Home Finance, a letter stating we had until November 30, 2008 to make the two payments that we had not made. If we did not make the payments by this date, we could lose our home. Of course called first thing and got transferred to twenty five different people, all with a different story.....one named "Dave or David" told me to "JUST IGNORE THE LETTER" - the next thing I know I'm transferred to "Edwards" voice mail.......and you bet, I left a message...I've also contacted my congressional representatives and will push this to the very end! I have not received a return call from them.....nor do I expect to-all documentation has been sent to the Honorable Ted Poe, R-Texas and I've asked him to investigate (he's a former judge) if this is considered criminal activity.....and to advise what avenues to expose this on any and all levels, be it media attention or whatever it takes to bring this to the nation's attention. The actions by Chase Home Finance are indicative what this country has come to. Doing the right thing, in a timely, open and honest way - what used to be THE AMERICAN WAY will not only cost you your home, but will get you HOSED!
