Statements

AUTHOR: Dee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 09, 2008

I am currently in bankruptcy and receive a statement every month from Chase. It states that it is not a bill and not intended for collection but solely for information. So them telling you that you can't get a monthly statement is untrue.

Not Chase's Policy

AUTHOR: Use Common Sense - (U.S.A.)

Please speak to your attorney, its not Chase's policy not to send you statements when your account is in bankruptcy its the LAW, as long as you have an active Bankruptcy going on, the law states that Chase CANNOT send you anything to collect money from you. Blame Chase all you want, but its not there fault.

You're not the only one going through this. With bankruptcy the guidelines are kinda iffy. What we were always told is that we cannot send the homeowner anything that even looks like a bill or sound like we are demanding payment when the account is coded as a bankruptcy. What you can do is make sure the bankruptcy is no longer showing on your account. If it is, you will probably have to send in your discharge paperwork and then do not be suprised if your bill looks devastating. Just make sure you call and stay on top of the process. Be annoying if you have to. This is your home and I'm sure you would like to keep it. So, no matter how much of a runaround you get, stay on top of the issue. Make sure you keep copies of any communications and if all else fails, send everything you have to the 3415 Vision Drive address. Someone should get back with you. I don't know about the bankruptcy department, but I do know regular customer service really can't do much to help you in this issue. Make sure that bankruptcy is not showing on your account still!! And believe me, they do not want your house. Especially in this economy.
