I started the loan mod process with Chase back in January of 2009, I called and spoke with a chase rep explaining why we were behind 2 months on our mortgage ( my wife had been laid off for 4 months at this point ) I was directed to 3 other reps on this initial phone call at which time the final person I spoke with took my brief financials over the phone, and stated to me that if I made a payment from this day forward I would not be eligible for any type of loan mod programs.

I was a bit taken back when she told me to not make any payments at this time, I even grabbed my wife and asked the chase rep to repeat what she had just told me to my wife so I had a witness to this, she did also explain to my wife that any payments to our mortgage at this time would result in no program help with chase. At the end of our phone call the rep also stated that I would be assigned an advisor which could take up to 45 days and to be patient.

I did wait for 30 days to place my next call to chase which was to check into the status on my being assigned an advisor since I had not heard a peep from chase during this time. I spoke with I believe 6 different chase reps during this phone call as each rep that I was directed to had absolutely no idea whom I was nor did they have any information on my situation. This phone call lasted hours and the chase rep I was last speaking with was actually getting of work and told me she would return a call to me the following buisness day once she received some information on my mortgage.

Of course the following buisness day no phone call, nor the next day nor the next. I again had to place a call to chase 1 week later and go through the whole process again with no answers and no signs of anyone knowing what they were doing. I was finally put with a supposed supervisor within the loss mitigation dept. I was given a fax # and directed to the Chase web site where I could print out all the forms which I needed to complete and fax to the # which was provided to me which I did and which is now no where to be found within the chase system so I have been told.

This report could go on forever but to make a long story short it has been 6 months now, I was e-mailed the name and # of the person who was handling my case Chris Rich I was told, well ever time I have tried to call this person I get a message stating his mail box is full and I cannot leave a message, and of course he has never returned one of several e-mails I have sent him. I have never been contacted by chase other than the one e-mail I stated in 6 months of this process. Even when I have called to speak with anyone else with chase I am directed to this Chris Rich guy's voice mail which hangs up on me because his mailbox is still full!

The last call that I placed to chase was just a few days ago after I received a letter from the bureau of recovery LLC stating that my account has been assigned to them, I was told by chase that I now need to contact this recovery company as it is now in their hands. SOMEONE please help me or direct me in right direction as how to deal with chase as I am at wits end and don't know where to go from here, I have tried to do everything chase required to try and work something out to save our house but I do not know what else to do. We are a family of 4 and have put over $75000 dollars into upgrades to out home the past 3 years and my wife and kids would have a very hard time dealing with losing it.

Me too!

AUTHOR: Sallie - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 23, 2009

I was in the same boat: empty promises, no return calls from analysts, full mailboxes...it's taken a YEAR!

Call 1-888-995-HOPE hotline, get ahold of Auriton...they will get action: fast.....

You will need to submit a ton of paperwork. The Obama plan may work against you if you actually have equity in your home....they never tell you that, but it's true.

I was a on a very small forebearance, was told it was approved...after 4 payments, I was told I was 'never' eligible. I was told they may do a short sale? Whaaat? I finally got someone on the phone that put me in a suspended forebearance: no payments, get my finances in order.....I had a plan. I called back to check status: was told there was no such thing as a suspended forebearance????I freaked! i called 888-995-HOPE....got a letter requesting documentation in couple days AND a contact person with X number! This was the 'correct' department: homeowner Preservation Office

Fast forward 3 months....i get a call from Loss Mitigation : my suspended forebearance is up, need to verify info????HUH? Last I heard it was at the underwriter thru Homeowners Preservation and there was no such thing as a suspended forebearance??? . Loss Mitigation caller calls my contact at hoemowner preservation office...., the contact calls me: go with Loss mitigation.....they are way ahead in the process than Homeowner Preservation....I was not even to step 1!!

Now: new forebearance...was told I have 4 paymetns to make, am pre approved: am told not everyone gets approved....I am still skeptical....and scared spitless....But am doing as they say.

Don't be afraid to call every couple of weeks...the squeaky wheel.....and don't freak if they tell you something is incorrect...they don't know which end is up! they are so overwhlemed....

Do not give up, do not give in....Auriton will sit on on phonecalls: so you have a witness!

Good luck!

Just submitted my Chase Bank Modification

AUTHOR: Emelita - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 27, 2009

Sorry to hear about your experience with Chase Bank. Actually I been there but not the modification, it is the refinancing, which I only did because of this OBAMA"S Home Affordable Program* But before I do the refinancing I make sure I am eligible and I do eligible, but I was decline by Chase Home Finance of Tempre Arizona because of my bankcruptcy way back in 2004 and late fees on 2005. I did tell them everything before paying them $750 application fee but they said I am approved. After waiting for almost two months they said that I will finally sign all the papers and get my cash out, but on the day or before the day they said I will sign the papers, I did not hear from them anymore, I waited and then I try to get in touch with them and suddenly I got an e-mail saying I got decline by the underwriters because of such reasons which they know from the beginning. My son is my co-borrowers and he got a good job earning 3,000 a month 'cause i only have ssi benefits. We try to consolidate our debts and make a little cash out for the improvemnet of the bank investment which is my house. Unfortunately, I was decline because my son occupancy is questionable, because of my bankcruptcy which they said it is ok as it is already more than 4 years and was discharged and the last decline is because of my late fees way back in 2005. Which from the beginning they know but they said they will only look at my payment two years from now which is good and no late fees since 2006.
I been complaining and trying to get my $750 application fee and on the local bank here(the WAMU bank) who I dealt with my mortgage loan told me to do a modification first and the loan officers said he will look at it afterwards. I said why do I have to do a loan modification when I am eligible for refinancing with this Home Affordable of Obama. He said that is the way it works..HUH!!!??? Weird...

Well now after reading your story, I been thinking what will happen next, are they going to approved my modification as I am also eligible...

How long will I wait....

I also fax all my papers for modification last week but have not heard from Chase Bank. But I tell you this...when I did my refinancing and when they ask me to pay the $750 and it will not go through because they place a wrong expiration date I got e-mails... asap... hahahahaha...from them and I even got a call that my debit card will not go thru... hahahahaha... well i did not know it is a rip off only from them to get some money from customers...

well I will see what will happen to my modification from JPMorgan Chase Bank..

Chase Home Mortgate Mods

AUTHOR: Video Watchdog - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 27, 2009

I work for a modification company that is attorney based. It is true Chase will lead you on and on, as will other lenders. In fact, now that the novelty of loan mods has worn off, the lenders are dragging their feet regarding mods. In fact, it has become so bad dealing with the lenders that we are now no longer doing mods. Last April the way the banks determine the value of their assets was changed so now they would rather have your house. My house was taken six months ago and it is still vacant (it is in a very nice area) and there isn't even a "for sale" sign in front... they took the house and are now sitting on it, and that is what there are going to do with yours.
