Do not order from them or give them a credit card number.  They will use your card for other items such for their own personal use. 

 

August 16th I ordered a pool filter from this company online.  The next day someone used the same card number for cosmetics online.  I never use this card unless it is for a large purchase item and only once or twice per year and never carry the card in my wallet.  Needless to say, I cancelled the card the following weekend after reviewing the charges.  Meantime, I did not receive the pool filter.  I called them during the weekend only to find out no one answered their phone.  I called first thing Monday morning after knowing they did not have a purchase order for the pool filter nor did they order the filter with the manufacturer of the product.  I called PENTAIR personally and asked them to see if the order was placed and it was not.  I immediately called Cheap Pool Products to cancel the order and three weeks later, no credit was ever issued on my card.  I reported the company to the credit card company and now to you. 

 

Please do not order from them.  They go by three names, Cheap Pool Products, Everything Internet, and Baystate.

Dear JAH:

First of all let me start by a sincere apology from our company for what happened to your credit card and for the delay in responding to this complaint. Last time we had a complaint on RipOffReport was on 10/16/2004 -- over 6 years ago, when we started our business. We've been taking care of our customers so well since then that we've had no complaints until now. Because of that we had stopped checking our RipOffReports account for any complaints.

Great Customer Services is our number one goal.

Unfortunately, in your case and a few of our other customers, we did have a security breach on one of our servers that exposed the credit card information of some of our customers to a hacker who had hacked our server from an international IP address (202.152.243.29). He/she managed to obtain 20 of our customer's credit card information and was placing fraudulent orders and shipping them to various addresses in the U.S.

Over the past 6 weeks, we have spent over $10,000 to upgrade our security infrastructure and have now put in place a state-of-the-art fraud detection and prevention system with 128 bit encryption of all of our customers' information.

The reason you could not find your pool filter with the manufacturer, is because we orders these filters from our distributors, not the manufacturer. Our records indicate that since you became aware of the fraudulent charges on your credit card, you called in and canceled your order, right before it was scheduled to be shipped.

We do not go by different names. Our company's name is Everything Internet, our website is called cheappoolproducts.com and Baystate is one of our distributors in Massachusetts from whom we had sourced your order.

I realize that your order with us has caused some major inconveniences. Therefore, we would like to offer you a one-time $100 credit towards any future purchases from our website. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our customer support line and provide them your full name and order number to receive the credit.
