I opened my account on 9/17, On 9/18 I received an email that my debit card was mailed. Later that day I tried to log in and my account was suspended. After hours of calls, messages, emails, they finally re-enabled my account on 9/19.

But wait...my direct deposit was returned. First I was told it was that the name didn't match the name on my account. Then I was told that it was because the account was suspended. The first supervisor told me he was escalating the matter to have the deposit credited immediately and to call back in 30 minutes. When I did I was told the deposit was returned on 9/18. But wait...Then he said the deposit was received today 9/19. How did they return a deposit on 9/18 that didn't come in until 9/19??

So either they are completely incompetent and inept at their jobs or they are lying their a*ses off....

I want to get to the bottom of this and find out what is going on over there. In the meantime I have $3 and can't get my medications or gas in my car or food. And now I have to wait for my employer to get the deposit back to give me a check

Day 3, no deposit returned

AUTHOR: Aimee - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, September 23, 2019

Well, my employer still does not have my supposedly returned deposit.

I called the crooks at Chime and they again said that They returned the deposit on Thursday  9/18 and they my employer would have the money back today at the latest.

I don't trust them and I have let them know all correspondence betwee  us is going to be forwarded to law enforcement and my attorney. I don't trust them at all.

This is not my employer's responsibility

AUTHOR: Aimee - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, September 20, 2019

What it comes down to is if the bank had responded to any of my messages or emails the day before there wouldn't have even been an issue. This bank is a scam and a rip off and I would strongly advise against anyone opening the count them.

Direct Deposits don't happen that fast

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, September 20, 2019

Most Direct Deposit processors require DD information to be submitted 3-5 business days before the Direct Deposit. Also, in general the employer should send the first Direct Deposit as a verfication to make sure everything is set up. As a result they will automatically still issue you a paper check the first time.

With you only opening the account 1-2 days before the Direct Deposit your employer should not have initiated it or relied on it for your first deposit. If you say your employer does this all the time either you are not telling the truth(or they aren't), or they have just been very lucky.

Unfortunatly if your employer is going to wait until they get notification of the failure that could be an additional 1-7 business days depending on several factors.
