Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
I signed up for a free credit report. I gave my credit card number (stupid me) as a form of identification. Since then, I have been charged three times, at $9.95/month, for a credit monitoring service I did not authorize. I have attempted to contact them three times; all three times I have been assured that my account will be canceled. So far, I have continued to be charged.
I will now take more serious steps to stop this activity.

It turns out that I was being charged for financial management services that I wasn't using through my bank. CIC had canceled my account when I had first requested it. They are not at fault.
