You actually weren't charged for "nothing". It is a legitimate credit monitoring service from Experian. The "ripoff" part of it is that if you ever go to their site or other affiliates and don't uncheck every single box that pops up you may get enrolled in the service.

The only way to cancel is by calling 1-866-252-8811. This is so a person who speaks very bad english can attempt to get you to stay enrolled.
