Cincinnati Bell Charged for un-needed service and didn't warn me Cincinnati Ohio

My internet service wasn't working well-I lost connectivity as many as 20 times in an hour. A technician came and said that he checked at the switching station and found that the settings were incorrect. Problem solved.

He checked the modem.  He also noticed that the wire box was not mounted on the baseboard and offered to mount it. I said ok.  He never told me that I was going to be charged $99.99 for that service (That took him about 2 minutes). This was cosmetic-it had nothing to do with my service problem

After a total of 3 calls, an hour on hold and promises to call me back, I decided to discontinue my account--not just because of the poor service, but because of the deceptive, shameful behavior of the technician.

The I supervisor I talked with (after hours and not local) assured me that my account was closed and I would Charged charged the $99.99 or the charges for the poor service I had during the last month.

Well, the final bill came--I wasn't charged for the last month, but there was that $99.99 charge as big as life.

Ripoff is the right word!
