I realize the previous posts to mine are 2007 and this is August 2008, but I just watched no less than 6 commercials on 3 DirectV stations that all were for "Cinergy Health Insurance".. same company as reported here and their commericals CLEARLY and without any confusion state they are a low cost HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY PROVIDING THE SAME BENEFITS OF THE EXPENSIVE COMPANY AT A FRACTION OF THE COST, ABOUT $3.00 PER DAY..
AS THE COMMERICALS STATE.
Do I know its a scam.. sure but I went on line to see what they say there vs. these TV ads.. everything is set up to give the illusion of a legitimate Health Insurance Company such as Blue Cross, Humana, Aetna, United Health Care etc.. dig deep enough and then do a websearch for sites such as here and you will find out quickly what is IS and DEFINITELY IS NOT. I am in my 50's and self employed and must have private health insurance and like many others cannot afford nor will pay over $1000/month due to my age, being female and I have sleep apnea which is NOT caused by weight.. I've had it since highschool but was not diagnosed until 10 years ago..
The problem is the health care system only wants to cover those that are young and in prime health while sucking the money out of the rest of us for their investments for their shareholders and profits. That is what makes the field ripe for companies like Cinergy and so many others out there.
PEOPLE BE SMART .. if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and you need to do your homework and investigage such companines before you agree to anything, sign anything or send them money espeically giving them free rein into your checking account or Credit or Debit card each month.
As for the so called Employees that post on this site and others like it.. they are about as legit as the companies themselves.. birds of a feather.. as the saying goes.

Cinergy Health began operations in 2004 initially and exclusively offering Cinergy Health Discount Medical Plans nationally. Throughout the ensuing years, however, Cinergy Health has become a licensed health and life insurance agency in all 50 states and D.C. and began offering limited medical health insurance plans in 2007.
Limited medical plans are health insurance plans designed with the intention of delivering meaningful and defined health insurance coverage at rates that are more affordable than those associated with major medical insurance. Limited medical plans are not major medical plans and are not sufficient coverage for catastrophic medical events. These plans typically have lower caps on healthcare services such as the number of doctor visits or days in the hospital that qualify for coverage in a given year.
Because the Cinergy Health limited medical plans are filed as guarantee-issue insurance individuals such as you, with existing medical conditions and are under age 65, qualify for the plans. However, there may be a six month waiting period on coverage for those particular conditions. Cinergy Health works with various U.S. based insurance companies to underwrite the insurance plans that we sell.
