Circuit City and JVC have no moral integrity
*REBUTTAL Owner of company: VCR return policy from an owner of a TV/VCR Repair Shop
My one month old JVC VCR ate a video tape. When "fixed" by Circuit City, it came back and ate another tape. Fixed again still another tape down. Circuit City will not replace tapes, nor machine. Warning: Buy from Circuit City and you are on your own.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
VCR return policy from an owner of a TV/VCR Repair Shop

I have owned a TV/VCR Repair Shop for almost seven years and can understand both sides of this story. The complaintant says he bought the JVC VCR "about a month ago". Most larger stores, if not all, have a "30 day in store" credit policy.
When you buy an electronc item there's usually three parts to your "One Year Warranty". You can bring the unit back to the store for a 100% credit, cash refund or a credit on your card credit card.
A good tip is to keep all of the original packaging, plastics bags and ties, etc.
Some stores will charge you a 15% restocking fee if you don't have the original box, etc.
Second part of the warranty is 90 days (parts & labor), third part will cover parts only but not labor and that can get expensive. If you charge your purchase on your credit card you can call your issuer and possibly get the charges reversed.
