i made a purchase @ circuit city, and on my receipt there was an offer to win a gift card if you answered a survey.
i tried several different ways to reach this site.
i am convinced it does not exist.

circuit city should address this problem.

i know i am not the only one that has encountered this dilemma.

Please re-read what you wrote and try and keep an open mind.

According to you, I am trolling these threads. Yet, you also seem to be everywhere. Perhaps that is because you are also reading all of them. If I am trolling, so are you.

YOU brought me up in this thread with your reference to me in the Just Brakes threads. If you wish to drop it, do so. I do not go looking for you, so don't get a big head.

In reality, I do not dislike you. I find you a challenge, and I appreciate the skills you possess in the fine art of debate. As far as I know, the only thread we have engaged in battle in, is the Just Brakes ones. And no, I still have never worked for them, or appreciate their advertising tactics.

I have never had a problem with CC. I'll try and hit all of the threads with one shot here. I have gotten any and all rebates from them, albeit sometimes I had to pester them alot. I still got them though. There is a way to get around the restocking fees, and I discovered the secret. If I return something, I let them know up front that I am going to buy or exchange it for something else right then. Even if I don't, they have already done the return and away I go to wander through the store. I have never been charged for returning anything. Gift cards, no problem there either. I can buy them myself at the register, or get them online. Answering the surveys(been there, done that)is easy to do, but you have to pester them, like with a rebate. A little persistance gets the job done. Most of them take 6-8 weeks to recieve. I explained how to avoid damaged goods in an earlier post, but here it is again. Open the box while standing at the register. They cannot stop you, and if it is broken, they have no choice but to get you one that isn't. Standing at the register shows intent to purchase, so they'll take care of the problem quickly.

And with that, I shall leave you with a fond adieu.

Denny

AUTHOR: Ben - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 26, 2005

Denny,

Lets go over your last post....we can let others decide on the "delusional" part......

"Yes, Ben, the consumer is never right. Even when they think they are, they aren't."

Ok so your on a rip-off website, yet you think all consumers are wrong...period. Thus you should have complete contempt for this site in general. Or is your statment meant to just say you have contempt in general for this site and consumers in total?

"I'd rather lose 1 customer who has no common sense, than to keep 'em and drive 100 customers away."

What does it matter if 1 stays and drives another 100 away? I mean, according to you ALL are wrong. So why do you care? Why not drive all these "wrong" people away? You would rather drive one "wrong" consumer away, just to get 100 more "wrong" ones?

"I stand on the consumer side, Ben. I've worked in retail for 12 years."

Ummm, ooook. Well I'm a little confused. You stand on the consumer side. Yet they are always wrong? Did I miss something? Or did you just forget your previous statements?

"If you have proof that alex is impersonating you, then report it to the admins with that proof. Oh wait, you dont so now you are libeling another person here."

I showed you proof, as well as reporting the fraudulant account in my name to the editors. Sorry if dont want to look at it. Thats not my problem. As for what the editors will or will not do, you will have to take it up with them.

"Im not Alex, Jason or any other Circuit City Employee (but in your delusional mind, anyone that supports CC must be an employee)"

I never said outright you ARE an employee. If I gave that impression, then I truely apologize. I will admit you are a new name to these threads and I think many will admit, most that violently oppose all these consumers posts have been employees. Most have made that clear. Because of the rampant name changing and now, hijacking, its hard to tell who is who. At least normally you can tell where people stand still.

You no doubt have seen my name appear many times trying to defend consumers. Maybe you disagree with me, so be it. But I'll have you remember I can give cheers when an employee helps. So far only Jason has ever attempted to hold that attitude. The rest of these employees have done nothing but insult.

In the end, Ive said it many times. Consumers can do wrong. Businesses can do wrong. Both can do right and be right as well. Ive seen many threads where the consumer is completely off their rocker. And Ive seen many threads where the business is completely off its rocker. Many of these CC threads fall into that category. Watching CC employees just shred people with nothing more than "your a crook" or "your a liar" can get pretty insulting. To say its help...well I'll let you make the call. You know my response.

AUTHOR: Ben - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 26, 2005

Robert,

I see that you are now trolling every CC thread, if not every thread looking for me. You have posted on several threads now still angry about that Just Brakes thread.

Now if your upset because I mentioned your name here, then lets keep in in context. All I said here is "I post on CC threads and one Just Brakes thread with a person named Robert". If that upset you, Im sorry. My intention was NOT to drag you in here. And I mentioned nothing more about you other than your name and thread. I didnt bash you here, and have no intention too.

I have already stated that you have far superior knowledge in auto repair than I. But for some reason you have now taken it upon yourself to track me down on any thread and bring up auto repair. I will be happy to continue the conversation on the Just Brake thread. But dont track me down and hijack every d**n thread you can find me on. Its silly, vindictive, and does nothing to help your case or hinder mine. If you feel so much contempt for every consumer (and myself), so be it. But take it back to where it is relevant.

Other than your gruff, brash, and outright hostile attitude towards anyone that makes a post on this site, you do seem like your trying to be honest most of the time. Why dont you run with that honesty instead of running with the rest of these jerks on CC threads. I know you are above them. Thats a compliment Robert. But I'm not sure if you can see it that way now that your so hell bent on making me look bad on every thread you can find me.

Of course Ben would never understand

AUTHOR: Denny - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 26, 2005

Yes, Ben, the consumer is never right. Even when they think they are, they aren't. Should we cater to them because of their own stupidity? No. No business should have to, BUT they do. They rather placate the individual consumer as much as they can, but sometimes, its JUST not worth it. I'd rather lose 1 customer who has no common sense, than to keep 'em and drive 100 customers away.

I stand on the consumer side, Ben. I've worked in retail for 12 years. I know how consumers behave and have been on the side of nearly being ATTACKED by a customer because he wouldn't get his way. To the point that I had to file assault charges against him. All over a measily $40 item. Im glad I got out of it 4 years ago. I do miss servicing customers, but with the whackos out there, I dont think my life is worth thr $10 / hr i was earning.

No, retailers do not have to put up with abuse by customers.

If you have proof that alex is impersonating you, then report it to the admins with that proof. Oh wait, you dont so now you are libeling another person here. Goes to your credibility Ben (which apparently is zero).

Im not Alex, Jason or any other Circuit City Employee (but in your delusional mind, anyone that supports CC must be an employee); just someone who worked in retail and had enough of abusive customers.

They say immitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Alex is just trying to show his love.

And yes, the customer is never right. I learned that years ago. A customer is right if they have been truly wronged. This does not mean they are going to get their way. In nearly all cases, the customer acts like the world is collapsing and the merchant must compensate him for his "pain and suffering". Case in point...everyone thinks a repair shop should pay for a rental car when theirs is being fixed under a warranty. Nope, not going to happen.

I personally, have never had a bad experience at CC. I also don't expect anyone else to hold my hand and save me from my own actions.

Thanks we can see where you stand. Just keep in mind that Alex is trolling around acting as me. If your still pissed because I dared to stick up for a consumer that you think is ALWAYS wrong keep that fact in mind about the people you defend.

They have to IMPERSONATE people to try and deflect thier own vile attitudes.

Since you seem to attack me for defending consumers after many of these impersonations by Alex........I'm starting to wonder.....could you really be another one of his alter egos on this site? Hmmmm? Do you have proof that your not?

Talking about how people should use "common sense". Ben doesn't believe anyone should posses anything such as that. No personal responsibility of any sort.

And Ben, I have told you how many times?...I do not work for Just Brakes, or any of their psuedonyms. Therefore, I cannot be an employee of theirs. This goes back to telling the whole story, and getting it right.

Ben you need to grow up and so does the rest of this world.

People in this generation have lost something very valuable. It called common sense. If they are wronged, the first thing they do is complain that its not their fault, when if you look at the situatin, it really was. Just like people who sue Fast food joints because they are obese, when its their own behavior that caused them to be obese. They take NO responsibility for their actions, and blame everyone else.

The customers IS never right, but companies and stores, must do their best to please even the most idiots of customers, to make them think they are right.
Sorry, if a customer comes in and yells that the sky is Green with purple poka-dots, I sure as hell know that he/she isn't right.

Yes you are stalking Ben. You've made it quite clear that you dont like Circuit city. But guess what ben, for every one of you there are hundreds that go about their daily business that have never been wronged by Cicuit city. So ben, grow up, use that nogging and CHOOSE not to shop there.

A company is not 100% perfect, and well sufficed to say, EVEN customers are not 100% perfect.

The OP, writes a complaint that has nothing to do with Circuit City, and the responses are justified. Why blame Circuit City for something that was wrong with their computer connection? So the OP was notified of their mistake.

Jason was correct in his VERY Simple, and correct reply. " HOW IS THIS A RIPOFF? ".

And then it was you who started to take things "offensively". YOU attacked jason, and assumed that the website is wrong, when in fact, you probably didn't try to test it out to see if did work aS ADVERTISED.

No Ben, you provided nothing to the thread, but a direct attack at an employee answering the OP's question.

No you did not come into this thread with a "BACK OFF", you came into this thread to ATTACK the employees. Jason offered the CORRECT reply. If you took offense to it, that is your problem. Any SANE individual would have seen the OP's post and came to the SAME conclusion as Jason. The "website" works. And its not a ripoff. OP has a problem with her/his computer which didn't allow access for him to the website (or is firewalled!)

Stalking.....of course!

AUTHOR: Ben - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 25, 2005

I have responded to two companies threads on this site. One being Circuit City, which needs no further explanation since this thread is one of them and the people reading this are most likely well aware. The second being a couple of Just Brake threads.

My attitude and responses have been pretty much the same on both. Yes Denny, if you would like to call it "stalking" so be it. I stand rightly accused and convicted of that. I "stalk" as you say because I saw a pattern of employees bashing consumers around. Most common was a "chris" who now goes by Omissiho or something like that. On the Just Brake threads it was a Robert. These wonderful employees would hit every thread bashing the consumer. Sometimes sinking low enough to call them crooks and swindlers. Often times just calling them outright liars. Then to add insult to injury, and thus the reason I really wont let it go, they say they are trying to "help". Thats just plain insulting.

None of these CC threads were started by me. But your d**n right I started "stalking" them to put down and shut up these insulting twits that come here to call consumers crooks and say they are trying to help.

Just look at this thread for example. The original poster just said he couldnt find a website and you vile examples of humanity pounce like rabid wolves. Then, HEAVEN FORBID, I came along and said "back off!". So now your focus is on me. In other words...THANK YOU...I succeeded. I post to defect you nuts off of a legitimate post. Now it can stand on its merits. While you CC trolls waste your time with me, and in the end, really show your true colors to everyone else that may come by. Do you really think your doing good for CC by your posts? Do you really think your attitude towards consumers is helping? I know I'm certainly helping the general public to see what you people are really like and stand for.

Now someone has even gone as far as making an account with my name and city to impersonate me. And THEY are the ones that say they are honest??

You gotta be freaking kidding me! Is your stance so feeble that you have to make things up under someone elses name??

Ooooooh! Im soooo terrible! Oooooh! Im so evil.

How dare me to stick up for a consumer! d**n consumer defending stalkers!

Wait, wasnt this site created to stick up for the consumer?

Buy a cat or something, nevermind, you would probally name it Troll and beat it all the time. Then you would fall to the DarkSide of Circuit City and the evil electronics that we sell. Watch out!

And anyone can click the "radio" button that says they are an emplotyee, and in fact aren't. Take their "REBUTTAL employee" status with a grain of salt.

The only person here who is mkaing a mockery of hismelf is you Ben.

Awww poor Alex. I guess one thread to beat on his customers was not enough.

Keep it up bud. Keep these threads alive and in the face of the public. They need to see just what kind of "nice" people work at Circuit City.

Thanks, your making our case for us.

Ben,
You need a girlfriend or a hobbie or something brother. Bashing every single person that has a different view point than you is one thing, but you are starting to get a tad psychotic about it. Do you kiss your mom with that mouth buddy? Out of curiousity, what charitable organazation is it that you work for that has no policies in place? It is nothing more than a post with different opinions, no need to cuss at people and call them names. You are not making yourself look very reputable with the name calling, most people I know stopped that in grade school. I don't care if the other kids started, act like a man not a spoiled child. I am sure that your response will be fascinating and I look foward to reading it.

Its a "rip-off" when you advertise something and it doesnt exist!

Now this person may or may not have had computer problems. This person may or may not have typed in the URL correctly. This person may or may not have done a million things wrong to NOT see the website.....GRANTED! But for Pete's sake you a*****e, all they said was "I cant find this website....I don't think it exists", and as usual you CC trolls just ATTACK!

He found something you advertised on your recipt. He went or tried to goto the website. He didnt find it. Maybe he goofed, maybe he didnt. But all he sees....is nothing. Now heres the math you cant seem to fathom.....

He expects something (you advertised it!), he got nothing (maybe his fault..maybe not...fault is moot). He wonders why he got nothing. He makes a post on a rip-off site because getting nothing when you expect or are promised something is a PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A RIP-OFF.
