Different math

Im sorry to tell you this, but you are using a different math then what the banks use. You have ASSUMED that they just talley everything by close of business. that is no longer the case. NOW its min to min. So if at 5pm you make a purchase and do not have funds but at 510pm you go and deposit money, you would still be too late and incure fees and fines. The banks started doing this because they were getting screwed out of their money and NOT seeing a profit back. You may not like the idea but ALL businesses are in business TO MAKE MONEY!! TO MAKE PROFIT!!! They were losing that profit by keeping that antiquated banking model.
So now they STILL do a final talley at the end of the day, but its broken down so you have to pay more fees. Its not nice but we have no one to blame but ourselves. WE DID THIS TO THEM!!! Maybe not YOU as the individual but WE as a people and a society have so abused and screwed businesses that they had to do something to protect themselves. This is why old addages such as "The customer is always right" no longer applies. The customer has abused this to the point that a business would rather lose you as a customer then give you ANYTHING to make you happy. Thats because the customer will take and take and take and then turn around and shaft the very same business that was attempting to make them happy.
Like I said, we ONLY have ourselves to blame. And the sad part is we continue to do it. I see it so much in the retail business. Everyone is ONLY out for themselves and what they can screw someone out of. And when they dont get what they want from scamming, they then go to sites such as this one to try and embarrass the business into giving them their way. We as a people need to address these issues. Its on the individual to be better then those that came before. I personally have started calling people out and pointing out what they are doing. I had a nice little incident at a resturant a few days ago where a customer was just being a complete jack@ss to their waiter because the waiter had not brought them their drink in a fast enough time table.
I quietly pointed out to the gentleman that the waiter appears to be by themselves and trying to handle a full crowd and maybe he could drop the attitude and use a bit of patence and common sense. The m0r0n then decided to show his a$$ and tell me to mind my business. The police officer sitting behind the m0r0n then piped up with "Tell me to mind MY business". The gentleman in question shut up and acted a whole lot nicer. Point is that WE need to do things like this when we see out fellow consumers pulling stuff like this. Then maybe the businesses will relax a bit and not be so cutthroat.
