Club Z Tutoring Didn't pay the tutor Tampa, Florida

I have been tutoring under Club Z! for close to three months. This company has not paid me, they dont respond to correspondence efficiently, and when I request payment, they use stall tactics. They also advertise that the pay is a specific rate, then after hiring you, it is $5 per hour less and they say they dont pay anyone the advertised rate.

Their contract is poorly written and one-sided. It lists a number of reasons why they wont have to pay you.

You are required to drive to students homes with no mileage reimbursement and you are expected to copy their forms at your expense. They also dont compensate for the paperwork time which is considerable. The first five weeks, after expenses, I made less than $6 per hour (which hasnt been paid to me yet).

From my understanding, they get compensated from the schools under the No Child Left Behind program. The paperwork is overly complicated and redundant and pretty much all the company is concerned about so they can get their money. I am ready to consult the Better Business Bureau. If tax dollars are what compensates them, then they are cheating us all.
