coastline & associates PPM , prodigy portfolio management SCAM or what??? THREATENED BY A "PROCESS SERVER" irvine California

I received a call from a process server 2 days ago from a process server trying to reach my husband to get papers served to him.When I  told her that she should have all the info already she told me to call a (888) number and she could only hold the papers for 2 hours .So stupid me ofcourse I did call being worried and all.

Finally the person I spoke to from Coastline & associates was Maria Perez.She told me all my husbands info and a credit card he owed from 2009. She also stated she can reduce the price for half if I payed within a  month.I told her I would have to talk to my husband and see what happens.After I hung up I started searching and I came up with all these scam pages of this company.However I do not know what is real anymore.

A hour later I call the number again and I spoke to a manager Ray..He stated to me a lot of accurate info and companies that had the account before them but they kept selling it because they failed to collect from us. As he told me this info I kind of believed what he told me however this location does not exist( the suite # 477).They seem to change there name a lot and why would I be getting served when statue of limitations states we can not be sued for this debt.So somebody please help if you have had similar experience.
