I recieved a call on April 13, 2004 aprrox. 5:15pm from agent #150 after ;istening to the whole guaranteed $2000.00 visa credit card offer, they add in that it's a 1 time deduction from your bank account of $299.00.

I asked if I had to give my checking account # over the phone she said yes to the recorded conversation of the next person she conects you with who is going to then verify all of your information.

They also asked for either your drivers license # or a social security # for Identification purposes. Not thinking fast enough I gave my D.L.#. Which now they can more than likely obtain personal accounts/information on me that I do not wish for them to have.

They also add in there that they will put you in for a commitment date of (for me it is April 30th) which is about 14-17 days after you give them all of your information. This means that in 15-17 days they are going to automatically withdraw $299.00 from your checking account.

I kindly let the young lady know that

1) I do not give out my checking account # or my credit card # for any reason. and

2) I had a horrible experience with a similar credit card scam roughly 2 years prior which caused me great finacial problems that led me to close my account and switch banks.

Almost EVERY legit. credit card sends you your information first, then you make your monthly payments via mail. If the credit card company has a annual fee, they simply charge it on your monthly statement when it is due.

My words of advice to anyone else in this situation. BE CAUTIOUS as to whom to trust with your PERSONAL information. It can be very COSTLY> TO YOU NOT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
