I Opened my account with Compass Bank in March 2005 and have been losing money since then. My check is direct deposited into my account and what turned into a couple of overdraft charges and fees has had a dominoe effect and the charges keep getting higher and higher.
I have had checks returned, OD charges removed and notices sent to me saying that they were returned to the consumer only to hear some bank cusomer serive member to tell me, "They can re-deposit it as many times as they want to" I have started out the past four bi-weekly direct deposits in a negative balance. I can not tell what is happening with my on-line account because the money is obviously missing from my account but there is no evidence that the debit has been posted to my account. All I know is "available balance". I also notice they have no problein getting thier over-draft fees. I talked with someone on the phone this morning and he is telling this story about the Federal Reserve and paper checks and how I do not understand the system. What I do not understand is how and where my money is???
I know my money is being stolen, but I just have to have some help from anyone who may have a similar situation as mine.

I work at another big bank and you really need to give more info on this situation. Your deposits are being direct deposited bi-weekly, thats great but how much are you spending in between those deposits? Also to let you know, if you get paid Friday, your direct deposit is put in Thursday at midnight and won't cover anything for Thursdays business day.
