Consolidated Media Services ripoff They failed to inform me that I would end up paying too much! I am at my wits end and am trying to take care of my credit! Atlanta Georgia

After I had undergone head surgery, while I was recovering at home, I received a call from this company promising me that they would allow me to subscribe to some magazines and only charge me a one time fee. However, as I found out later, I would have to keep paying a certain fee every month when I didn't even have a job. So I told them I had to cancel because I was unemployed and had just gone through surgery. Also, when they originally contacted me, they took advantage of the fact that I was not in my "right mind" when they coaxed me into the deal.

I have constantly tried to tell them to please cancel my subscription every time they call me to collect, but they continue to warn me that "it is your credit sir". What an outrage! Please let me know what can be done about this! I am at my wits end and am trying to take care of my credit. I do not want them to ruin my credit and keep me from being able to provide for my new family when I am able to find work. Thank you.

To whom it may concern, I am an active duty sailor that was stationed in Florida and now currently in Japan. Around last year, i recieved a call from CMS from Atlanta. The person on the phone guaranteed that i was going to recieve some magazines and just pay only one payment for that whole year. When i noticed that wasn't the case they ended up charging me every month for the subscriptions and only recieved magazines for only two months and they stopped mailing them. Now I'm in Japan and starting to recieve mail from the company that was mailed about months after I left the states. Now they are charging me for magazines that i'm not recieving at this time. I have'nt been able to mail them since I just barely recieved them about a month ago. Please send me information or whatever steps need to be done to have this stopped so it won't happened to other people.
