Consumer Portfolio Services CPS get to a point 6 and a half years later & somehow a principal balance is still due? Irvine California

 i obtained this loan in Feb, 2007. The dealership i bought my vehcile from set everything up. I never recieved any formal paperwork from Consumer Portfolio Services, only monthly statements. They were extremely harrassing, rude and inconsiderate throughout the life of the loan. I had to deferred a few payments throughout the years, but the payments were extended and thereby the loan should have been paid off at the end of the extended period. Well the time has arrived when the loan should be satisified and i am now being told i still owe a principal balance of $2368!! How can a principal balance be owed??? They took the vehicle 6 days ago and i am still dealing with them. I had expressed numerous times to their employees prior to their repossession that i wanted to satisfy this debt and continue to do so, yet they have made this extremely difficult. I wanted to report them years ago to the bbb and i didnt and i cannot express how much i have regretted not doing so.
