 CPS is a subprime auto lender and debt collector.  First and foremost, they are not licensed to collect debt in Colorado.  You can find this information by searching for the Colorado Collection Agency Board.

Secondly, CPS has violated the TCPA so many times in this case regarding an auto loan (where the interest rate doubled over a one week period) that I have filed for Arbitration.  You may find information on Arbitration against CPS at https://customers.consumerportfolio.com/customers/Arbitration_Provision.pdf

Note that the Contract states they will pay your fees if you cannot pay them.  If your claim is over $25,000 you are entitled to a hearing in your home town at their expense.

CPS increased my interest rate from 8.9 to over 20% one week after obtaining the loan.  By that time, I had sold my old vehicle and was stuck in this rediculous contract.  From that point, the car stopped running.  (In a span of months).  While this is not CPS' responsiblity, the numerous violations of Colorado Law, violations of calling my work, friends, and home at all hours should warrant an enormous settlement.  At the minimum, CPS will be paying through the nose for all costs in Arbitration.  And I warn CPS, I have never lost in arbitration even against the most seasoned attorneys.
