I got a car loan for an '06 Dodge Stratus through them in 2006. After everything was good I made all my payments on time had no problems and of course like everyone had some hard times and I missed a payment on it's due date which at the time was the 10th of each month. Two days after the due date they started calling. I of course told them that I was going to pay once I got my check but yet they still called everyday until I called to set the payment up. Basically what everyone on here has discussed has happened too me. A year and a half ago my husband lost his job so we decided to move because he was offered a job in a different state of course that meant that I had to quit my job so he was the only one working. I made the payments as I could even with them calling and threatening reposession. I just called their bluff. Then one month I was about 5 days from the 30 day mark and I told them that I would have the money 7 days after that conversation. They then proceeded to change my due date to the second of each month without informing me so after those 5 days I was 2 months late. So then they started to call my references which of course were family members and friends. They called my grandmother and told her that if she diod not make the payment for me that they would come and go through her home for collateral (which they have started using on me lately). Collateral for a 300 dollar car payment.

At one time it was down to paying my car note or paying my rent and I told them this and they said that's fine pay your car payment and live in your car because there are a few other of our customers that do that. I was like sorry you can come get the car.

Basically they do not care about anyone and like many of you have noticed they do change staff every 4 months or so and no matter who you get they talk down to you like you are scum. I would love to get in on any class action suits that have been filed. They are scum and they need to be stopped! I have learned in the past that if you play phone tag with them and just keep telling them the same thing they also tell you the same thing but nothing happens. Call their bluff it works!

By your own admission you were late on a car payment and they started calling you and your references. Are they more aggressive in their collection techniques than some other companies..Yes. Is this illegal..No.

So, what are the grounds and what do you hope to accomplish from this "Class Action Lawsuit"?
