I actually received help from a consumer law firm to assist me with this company and the horrible experience I had. It's nice to know there is help for consumers who experience collectors taking advantage. It didn't cost me 1 dime! This law firm stopped them from bothering me and also got me a little cash. CPS also had to pay all the fees for the settlement because they didn't want to pay to go to court. This was awesome having this firm do everything for me for free -- that's helping the consumers! More people need to express the attitude of not putting up with rude collectors, and do something about it like I did. If you need help, call Weisburg & Assoc and ask for Alex Weisburg 1-866-775-3666 - they will definitely help you out.

Do you have a car loan with these people?? or is this a third party collection agency contacting you?
Just wondering because I have sued a third party collection agency and won
The big difference is that sending a cease communications letter to the original lender does not work if you have a contract with this company and have failed to live up to the contract
If you have no contract with this company then sue em till it hurts!!!!

If you sent the cease communications letter to them certified, return receipt requested SUE them in district court for FDCPA violations.
It should be a slam dunk for you and your attorney will enjoy the EASY reasonable attorney fees that the court may grant. You shouldn't have any trouble finding an attorney to take the case for you.
