Contact Market Data ripoff fraudulent billing and threaten to go to collection if we don't pay. Champlain New York

One of our employees got a call from them. They claimed that we are one of their old customers and asked him if we want to put our company name again and relist it on their list. They were talking very fast and were very rude and forceful. We got their invoice with a charge of 389.95, plus interest of 31.68, plus shipping and handling for a total of 441.63. The item is listed as "2 Year Listing + Directory".

We went back and checked our history, and as it turned out, we had never had service with them before.

We called them back and refused to pay them. And they played an edited phone recording, and it sounded like we did promised to pay. And they now threaten us that if we don't pay immediately, they will let a collection company handles this.

They now faxed us a document and asked us to sign the invoice and send it back to them. If you recieve the fax, do not sign. Although they have a phone recording, but that is an edited version. They will have trouble using that version in court, but they can use your signed invoice against you.

After reading other scam reports about this company on this website, there is no way we will pay them.

I'm so glad that we checked the internet before we decide wether we want to pay them or not.
