I was a temp employee working as a security guard at the CPS building in Sacramento. One of my duties was to enforce the no parking area where I was stationed.

A social worker parked there against the rules. She knew full well that she could not park there. She goes to whatever she had going with 'clients'.

She is meeting with clients and to do my job I had to tell her to move my car. She was dismayed, complained about how she had to see her clients and could not be interrupted but eventually went down and moved her car.

The no parking rule was because it gave rise to a safety hazard. If that was the only place she could park she should be been more punctual so as to park in the regular parking lot.

The social worker complained to her boss and my boss.

I was fired. Apparently this social worker is so important that she can disregard the rules that apply to everyone.

I got ripped off because I lost two weeks of work because the general rules that apply to all don't apply to social workers. These highly paid self important people who can't keep kids alive.

Social Worker response to security

AUTHOR: cjhnw - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 23, 2013

The ripoff was obviously the fact that two weeks worth of pay was taken because a social worker couldn't take being told to follow the rules. Which is to no surprise seeing how many social workers are trained to not follow the rules. The fact is that Child Protective Services and their employees are responsible for more abuse and far worse abuse than the homes the children were removed from. Social workers's use the “best interest of the child” standard to substitute its judgment for a fit parent and parroting that term is “legally insufficient” to use in the court to force parents to follow some arbitrary standard, case plan or horse and pony show.

By the state imposing any standard of living or the rearing of children, they are putting forth a religious standard by their actions i.e. how you act, what to feed the child, how to dress the child, whether or not to home school and so on. More so than not social worker's falsely accuse parents of abuse or neglect just because they disagree with the method of child rearing or the standard in which they live. It is not the state’s right or jurisdiction to examine the day to day decisions and choices of citizens and then sit there in judgment and then force parents to follow conflicting standards with threat of harm for noncompliance i.e. abduction of children. Certainly not right for someone to lose their job over a social worker's low self esteem and needing to feel better about it by exerting some self righteous power and cause someone to lose their job. Isn't stealing people's kids enough?

#1 Consumer Suggestion

learn to be more diplomatic

Sounds to me like you had a grudge against her. She should not be parking where she should not be. But how did it hurt you and how did it rip you off? I am not understanding that. However, you sound very angry in your post. Two points I want to make. One, many of us social workers you seem to hold a grudge with are volunteer. I spend many hours a week as a volunteer. I drive sometimes over a100 miles a week two visit with two children who are split between relatives, there choice not ours, to help them. So, remember, many spend our time helping when we could be doing other things. I am not out going to parties, drinking and such. I am going to teachers, to doctors, to anyone who can help me with what was going on with these children and working to find a good stable home. Secondly, the parents are the ones who are abusing them in the first place usually. Ultimately they should be held accountable for their lives. Lastly, it is up to the judges to place these kids safely. We do not have that kind of power. So, please do not lump all of us in one category. Just as I do no lump seemingly grumpy, angry, over paid, wanna be cops but can't be, so they are stuck in a glorified parking lot attendant. See the difference? We all have our jobs and should be respected. I personally do not have that view of security guards , but I know people who do. It is not right to judge everyone for one persons mistakes.

This could have been handled in a more diplomatic adult approach.
