I applied for a CreditKarma account and after entering all the information, I was told that there was already an account with my information.

After receiveing the email address that was used, I was amazed to discover that it was not mine, it was someone using my information which solely consisted of my mailing address, DOB and the last 4 of my SSN. When I went back to the site to complain about this, there was no where for me to lodge that type of complaint.

They really need to make sure that you are who you say you are. I'm pretty sure I know who is using my information but I can't prove it. They have also accessed my yearly free credit report so I can't get that either.

These sites need to have a better verification system otherwise anyone with that basic information can access your person information.

I requested the account to be cancelled, so I'm hoping it is.
