On August 7th 2006 I ordered a copy of my credit report on www.Creditreport.com and the website clearly states $19.95 for three bureau credit report and score. So I decided to get the credit report using their service because I did not want to be chaged for any monthly fees if I forgot to cancel one of the "free" credit reports.
Well I order the service and August 9th 2006 I notice that my card was charged $29.99 I call the 800-720-4420 and they informed me that I checked the box that allowed them to add another $9.99 to my bill.
I know that i did not check that box so I revisited the site only to see that what there was infact a box already checked so if you sign up without paying attention to tiny box in the opposite corner of the sign-up page you will be charged more than you intend to pay.
In addition there was no time along the process where they informed that I would be charged $29+ for the service. This company is very deceptive. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE GO TO CITI ALERT/ CITI CREDIT MONITORING Better and more honest service. No deceptive billing
