Our refridgerator went out so we called Cross country for service. They told us that Sears would be out a week later due to the fact that they only service our area on Mondays. Well, Sears never showed so we called back and they sent out another repair company. We live in rural Georgia and there is only two repair companies, which is Sears and a private company. The private company came out and his decision was to replace the fridge, but he wanted the representative to make the final decision. The rep. chose to repair it which was fine it was only a few years old.
The rep. put the same model and serial number in for my fridge and my microwave. It has been a month and the weather is extemely hot. We are a family of 7 and having five children and no source of constant food is a nightmare! We called every person we could think of and still nothing! And to top it all off, the same ignorant rep. offered us $300 to replace a $2000 Samsung 3 french door fridge.
People please be ware that this company will not replace your up to date appliances for equal value products. Also, with our microwave they want to give me black when we have stainless front. Why do we have to downgrade and mess up our decor? Also know that you cannot just get a gift card to replace your items (if they offer replacement) you have to get an invoice and then somehow get it. I called around to several stores (non in my area--rural Georgia) but no one does invoices. They really have the game down packed. This company is a ripp-off!
