Crowdstar is the owner of a very popular online fashion game called Covet. It is played by thousands of people through out the world.
I have been playing Covet for a year. At first it was good and fun. Slowly I started to notice descrepancies in how the say the game works and how it truly works.
Over the last couple of months things have come to a head. Large groups of players within the game started reporting fraud and lies about how the main parts of the game works. These reports of fraud are backed up with some pretty foolproof statistics collected by players.
Many players have confronted Crowdstar about the workings of the game. They are either getting blatant lies or no reply at all.
They have been changing rules and pricing without warning. Players can purchase ,with their money, in app diamonds that can be used to purchase items to help you with the game. Some of these purchases and diamonds have been disappearing and Crowdstar will not refund for these disappearing purchases. They won't even acknowledge this is happening.
Lately they have not been giving players bonuses the clearly won. These bonuses are needed to keep playing the game. This plus more expensive requirements to enter one of their fashion events are now becoming out of reach for most players. They are forcing players to make in app purchases in order to keep playing once the get them addicted to the game. The game is very addictive. This game is be played ovwhelmingly by adults.
A major part of the game is voting on outfits players make according to an Event Covet comes up with. The ultimate vote is to get a score of 5.6 which is called a top look and as a prize the player gets 2000 diamonds to use in future events. Covet swears up and down voting and scores are only done and determined by other players.
Some recent glitches clearly showed that covet determines the number of these Top Looks in order to keep the number of diamonds they give away Down. On top of this some large groups have run some experiments that showed voting is done by algorithms within their computer code. But they still continue to lie about this.
Like I said the game is very addictive and is set up that you make many online friends. Because of this most of us continue to play even with the lies, stealing and non responsiveness by Crowdstar/Covet.
I wrote the report in hopes of exposing Crowdstars unfair practices and making them accountable for fix these practices.
