Dealfind.com Teambuy.ca Dealfind took my money and ran Baltimore Maryland

I purchased two deals from dealfind.com, for painting services from a local painter. They had NO expiration, so I had no reason to investigate dealfind's shady policies about what happens if the merchant goes out of business or refuses to honor it.

Each deal was $39, so I lost $78 out of pocket which is not pennies for me. I waited to contact the painter due to family health issues going on. I promised my 8 year old daughter she could have her room painted with this voucher, and she has been really excited for lavendar walls. 

So when I finally called the painter to schedule the job, he told me he is not honoring the vouchers anymore. Dealfind owes him over $50,000 and he has lawyers dealing with it now. Upon googling I realized Dealfind is indeed very shady with many complaints against them.

When I contacted Dealfind, I was told "too bad" basically. They have a policy of not refunding money or giving you credit toward something else after 265 days. I had no reason to check this information from the get go because my deal had no expiration date, so I wasn't concerned at the time.

Dealfind refused to put a manager on the phone, but did open a "laughable" case for me, where they said they were contacting the merchant. Called back a second time and coincidentally the manager of customer service answered the phone (his name is Ben Cockell), and he was equally unapologetic, and not budging in their policies. And, not refunding me a dime or even giving me credit toward something else.

He did give me the names of the Directors of customer service (Jess Madgy, and Sara Pierri), but told me they would not be able to help me either, and refused to give me anything other than their names. At which time I asked for the CEOs name (Ghassan Halazon), and upon googling him can see I will probably never see a dime. He is as shady as they come, and he looks like a playboy in his facebook photo, probably cavorting all around the world with the money he is swindling from hard working honest people. He name is synonomous with con artist as that's what he and his company is.
