Dealfind, also known as www.dealfind.com is a SCAM deal internet based company that operates in many cities around the USA and Canada. So far I have purchased 2 deal vouchers from them. Both have been bogus frauds or scams.
The first one was for a carpet cleaning. I waited to schedule my cleaning. Called the company 12 times, emailed them 3 times. No response. Called @Dealfind who said they were going to investigate and contact the merchant. They never heard back from the merchant either. This company does not even exist and was never verified by Dealfind. After no response, Dealfind only would allow a refund of "Dealfind Dollars" Why would any customer want "Dealfind Dollars" in a Dealfind account when they are already scamming people out of money and unreputable.
So I purchased another voucher for an Oceanfront Hotel for two nights. I called the hotel to make reservations 3 times and each time was told that the voucher was only valid for one room and that room had been booked all the way until the end of the voucher period, and either I could not use my voucher and lose my money or I could pay a $20.00 per night upgrade for a regular room. This is obviously another scam and there was no availability for the room on the voucher and clearly designed to get another $40 out of each customer.
Dealfind's website states they will provide a refund within 30 days of voucher purchase. I emailed them 9 days ago for a refund. It never happened. Called on 4 days ago, they said they would issue a refund, but they had to give the merchant a 24 hour notice of the cancellation, although the merchant had no say in the matter, it was just a formality.
4 days after that promise by Dealfind, I call and my refund has still not been processed. They said they have to give the merchant another 24 hour notice. All apparently in an effort to avoid providing a refund in the first 30 days. Dealfind's deals are bogus scams, are not verified companies, and their merchants are not honest or willing to honor dealfind vouchers as stated.
Avoid at all costs. Better to stick with a company like (((competitor's name redacted))) that has corporate responsibilities to the SEC and other American Government agencies. Dealfind's main office is located in Toronto as a way of avoiding legal problems from the fraudulent scams they sell in the USA.
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
