A search of the internet shows the numerous problems encountered by consumers when dealing with this debt collector that employs illegal methods of collecting fraudulent debts.

I left the Boston area in 2003 and never again had a telephone with Verizon. Suddenly, in 2008, when attempting to obtain refinancing, an uncollected debt owing to Verizon for $89.00 and owned by Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC showed up on my credit report.

I was forced to pay the debt in full, despite my protests, in order to get it off my credit report. DRS promised to fax a letter confirming payment of the account in full; however, they have failed to do so. The employees at this organization will hang up on anyone, scream and insult consumers at the drop of the hat and violate so many Federal and State laws that it is difficult for one to understand why they have not been shut down.

I strongly urge ANYONE that receives a notice from this organization to fight it and file complaints because they ignore the law and feel that they are above all regulatory agencies. It is time that Donald Schwartz's company is put out of business. This organization is a total SCAM OPERATION!

I have filed complaints with the FTC, BBB of NY, Attorney General of NY, FL and other regulatory agencies. However, no one seems to care that this company is collecting on debts beyond the statute of limitations, employees personnel that knowingly violate provisions of the FDCPA and collect on debts that have not been verified and for which they can't verify. The consumer is the one that ultimately pays by having no choice but to pay a debt that is not owed in order to clear one's credit report - THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN CORPORATE EXTORTION OF CONSUMERS!
