Debt Xs I was also rippped off by Debt xs and they won't refund my money! Addison Texas

My husband and I joined DebtXS in November of 2004 on the assumption that they were going to take money out of our checking account to help pay off 4 of our credit cards because I had to have shoulder surgery and knew we wouldn't be able to make payments on the cards. I couldn't get comp because there was no way I could prove I tore my shoulder at work. They took out $498.00 for the months of November, December and January and then in February they would start taking out $186.00 a month until 2006 or something like that.

We found out that at the same time that they were taking money out for themselves, we were suppose to be saving money to pay off the credit cards. The money that they were taking out for themselves could have went to the payment towards the cards! I sent hardship letters to the card companies but it didn't matter. They still kept calling and sending letters.

So my husband and I decided to take two of the cards back and caught up on the payments. The other two cards we left with Debtxs . But the one card put us in a colletion agency and wouldn't take hardly a deduction in payoff. They said that they aren't alowed to talk with Debtxs or people like that. So we took that card back also and talked with the collection people and made payment arrangements to pay them off.($2188.88 a month for 3 months) The other card we finally took back also because Debt xs wasn't doing anything for us. No nagotiations with the card people or anything. We talked to the card people ourselves. Debtxs didn't. We should have done this in the first place instead of joining Debtxs . We had to borrow from my husbands 401 to pay the card people to catch up on our payments.

We have faxed letters to Debtxs to refund our money because they did nothing for us. But haven't heard anything. They never talked to the credit card people or try to nagotiate with them. We did. The only thing they did was take our money and ruin our credit.

So if anyone out there is thinking of joining someone like this where you have to save money to pay off someone but the company you joined to help you pay off someone is taking money out of your account for doing nothing, think again. It isn't worth it!
