I was out of job for 18 months and was living on the credit cards then. In the 18 months, alongside the amount I owed initially, and having falled into the trend of borrowing from one card to pay another, I owed 31k by April when I contacted Debticated.

My first payment took up more than half of my monthly income at 884, and that was the "donation". Thereafter, I was faithful with my payments, and continued to pay them monthly for about 9 months, with the hope that upon the anniversary, they would help me to get a company to buy out my debt. Or so I was told by a rep named Blake Goldsmith. Upon the 8th month, I called to enquire about the buy out of the debt, and this time, someone else told me a totally different story. I was told that I have to be the one to go out and seek those people who would buy out my debt at 3 or 4 % APR instead of the 10% that I am getting after counselling.....

At that point in time, I have been living on 120 a month for groceries, gas, and other necessities, and I have just had about enough. So when I finally contacted a lawyer about this, I found out that with my startup amount of 31k, and after paying in about $8K, my total was not less than when I first started. It has ballooned to 39K. I do not know how that happened, and had to declare bankruptcy for that matter in May of 2003.

I advise all else who are looking at eliminating their debts to not even think about this company, and advise people around them who are thinking of going with this company to forget it. RIP OFF is an understatement.
