I'm so frustrated with Dell and their financial department. In February of this year I received a phone call from United Recovery Systems regarding my Dell account and was offered a settlement agreement to be broken down into 3 payments in a 90-day window. First payment went through. March 4th received two emails stating that my last 2 payments had been cancelled. Called March 8th to ask why payments were cancelled and that I did not authorize this. Nobody can give me a straight answer!!! I've been in a constant battle over this.
Called.....again.....today and spoke with someone at the initial collection agency. Found out that my account was recalled from the collection agency the day after my first payment went through. I find that very funny!! I have spoken to numerous people regarding this. I have been told my account will be investigated and I will get a call back.....never happens. Was told I'd receive a call back in 2 days from a supervisor named Mike....well Mike, please get this taken care of!!! Next step is the BBB and bankruptcy so they won't receive one more red cent from me!

Susan....not that I owe you an explanation of my situation but my account went into collections when I lost my job and was only living on one income. I felt providing shelter and food for my children was more important than paying on a computer bill.
IF you had read my post to begin with you would have read that I was trying to get this taken care of but you were quick to judge. The other commenters did not sound judgmental.
So thank you for being so judgmental. It must be nice to be so perfect! But thank you for your comments!!!

I and everyone else judged because you said you were going to file bankrupt over a computer.
In the end, you financed the computer and didn't pay for it. If you only made the monthly minimum payments the bill would not be in collections.
Am I wrong?

1. I've learned my lesson with this collection agency.
2. I'm not going to be filing bankruptcy, but I am getting frustrated that these people will not figure out what went wrong with my account when I had everything set up to get it paid for.
3. Susan.....you sound very judgmental and must be perfect. I'm not complaining one bit about the financing on my computer....I'm complaining about how they screwed up my account and think it's my fault!!

What did you finance, a laptop or a desk top?
Doesn't matter, you are complaining because you have the computer but cant make your payments and blaim the finance company. Good luck on that bankruptcy for a computer bill.

you need to rack up some SERIOUS debt first.
That is just chump change.
Make it WORTH YOUR WHILE!

What's funny is that you are saying you are going to declare Bankruptcy so they don't get one more red cent from you.
First they could care less if you declare Bankruptcy. But if you want to go right ahead. It would probably cost you more than the actual debt is to do that. Then your credit will be trashed for several years to come, costing you more in the way of higher interest rates. Oh and did I say that they don't care if you file Bankruptcy.
You NEVER talk to a collection agency over the phone, and you NEVER EVER make any agreements over the phone. Because you have ZERO proof of what was said or agreed to. For all you know you have just made a nice little(?) payment to the Collection Agency and it did you absolutly no good.
