Dell Financial Servicesdell dell still says i owe them money after computer was paid off ripoff Carol Stream Illinois

i bought a dell computer thru dells catalogue in 2002 and it was listed at 729.00 with payments of 27.00 per month. i paid 33.00 per month for over a year then i called dell on march 15 2004 to get the full payoff amount and told them to close my account. all the reps had wierd language and i told them i needed to speak to someone i could understand.

finally i spoke with a man named danny badge number 373613 he told me my payoff amount was $755.10. i told him there was no way because the computer was only 729.00 and a racing wheel was only 49.00. of course he said my account showed numerous late payments and fees for late payments and other stupid things.

so after much argueing i told him i would send the 755.10 and to close my account because i would never order from them again.he said i would get a paper thru the mail showing that my account was paid off and closed. the only reason i sent the payoff was because my husband owned the business that we ordered the computer for and we didnt want a bad credit report showing up.

3 months later i got a call from dell saying my account was past due in the amount of 368.00 and i needed to pay on it to avoid late charges i went thru the whole process of explanation on payoff which didnt do any good then i told them i wasnt sending any more money and that i have all my statements and reciepts so they can take me to court or whatever and i would prove that they are cheating people.

over the past few years they are continuosly calling or having a dept collecter to call and now they are up to 600.00 or more and showing up on my credit report so thats why i am here to show everyone how crooked this company is. thanks for reading this.
