Dell is selling a TV that works for a year (or so) many complain about them not working out of the box. Summary here's how it goes;

They sell you a really neato 26" LCD TV - it looks like a million bucks the picture looks awesome it has a thousand connective devises ... and then

time passes; it's debatable how long for me it was eleven months. Then it is impossible to turn the TV on. Sooooo..... with one month left on warrenty I call get a replacement. They send you a refurb unit (because then your warrenty is no longer any good because they don't do warrenties on refurbs)

So..... the dance begins. This set busts down. And your out over a thousand bucks. They tell you they'll sell you a new one. (who the HELL would want a new set when they know it's going to last one year?) :o) Logic isn't obviously the strongest selling point of these people.

You bug em ... they tell you there is nothing they can do. Never occured to these intelligent folk to actually recall a set that does not work. If ANYONE is up for a class action lawsuit I'm completely for it.

Meanwhile, if your curious if this is just me complaining go to their website in the forums under TV's sections. There are hundred of frustrated buyers asking for justice on this same TV set.... I'd go there (on the forum) and try to put up a class action lawsuit BUT of course when I try to mention it there for some odd reason... the post will not submit.

Whatever you do - do the research - sincere... these TV's slash monitors are total crap and your out over a grand.
