They say it's a free sample.  It's not.  It's $114!  It starts showing up at your house unless you cancel but no communication from them directly warns you of what they are going to do.  Online it's FREE FREE FREE and you look at the ad and there doesn't seem to be a catch.  If there is, you expect to receive the terms in the mail when it comes or you expect it to be reasonably priced.  Only under the Terms and Conditions do they mention what will happen in only two weeks!  You call and you say, how can I do business with such a shifty company who tricks people.  I have participated in trial offers before but this one goes out of it's way to hide what it's doing!  You don't expect two products or a significant supply.  You expect a sample and some sort of catch but not this.  When you complain.  They reduce it to $59!  How can you do business with a company that would be overcharge so much on purpose?  They rebut that you should have read the terms and conditions.  They are so long and it's slipped in somewhere.  Basically, the terms and conditions are that you must accept that they have LIED.  It is not free at all.  You WILL be charged for it.  That's not free.

It was a deceptive advert

AUTHOR: La - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2012

I am not stupid. I read the ad. I was not informed of the monthly $99.95 fee for the product. I also did not get any confirmation of the charge. When I contacted Dermitage via email, they did not even have the decency to respond to me. They emailed me 2 printable lables, I guess to return the product  at my OWN expense. They did process the payment but I have yet to hear that the "sample" has been sent. I am closing the CC acct if they do not cancel and I will report my dissatisfaction far and wide.

Shame on Dermitage.

not a rip off

The Terms and Conditions are easily accessed and pretty clear. They CLEARLY state that if you don't cancel within the 14 day trial period you will be charged and put on the autoship program.  I don't know how much clearer they could be.

IF you cancelled within the 14 day period and they shipped/charged anyway, then you might have a case.

I think this is a case of "I didn't read the directions but its still not MY fault!"
