My experience with Destination Movers was the worst experience of my life, A NIGHTMARE!!!! I was to move from Orlando to NYC. They literally raped me financially and emotionally. They are extortionist, unprofessional, cruel, heartless people I ever dealt with in my life, I can't believe they were in business. They stole alot of my belongings, the most valued possession was a brand new 42 inch LCD 1080 p television that I had bought for my 13 year old son. Whatever they delivered too me was delivered broken.

They started out at $1100, I tried to argue and he told me he would deliver my stuff back to where he picked it up from, which the original pick up was Orlando and the furniture was to be delivered to NYC, I had relocated and started a new job and I was in an empty apartment. I had no choice to pay, the day they delivered my furniture, the driver tried to make a balance of another $1100 after I signed the contract, so that it looked like I owed another $1100, I got so angry we had to call the police and even the cops saw what they did, but could not do anythin to help me. They told me to sue the company. The driver refused to bring my things up.

They broke my 60 inch Plasma Televsion, they charged me $300 the day of pick up for so called wrapping of my mirrors and TV, nothing was wrapped. Then told me they miscalculated my move after they picked it up and told me they had to charge me another $1100, they promised to deliver my couch thru the window, they came with no equipment and the driver was clueless and blatantly told me NO. I could go on and on about my nightmare with this company.

I went to Civil Court and was going to sue this company, I just found out that the business no longer exists, their websitie is still upo and running and I just called and someone picked up, which it sounded like Max the guy I dealt with before and told me the business was sold. They just are going to change their name and reopen. I am willing to do whatever I have to do to stop these MONSTERS. I'd be willing to go into a class action lawsuit with anyone who has had the same experience.

Thsi compnay made me sick physically, I am sick right now as I type about this disgusting company. I don't know what to do now, but send me a rebuttal so that I can help.

My husband and I just went through the same situation! Destination movers is NOW MEGA MOVING! We hired them in 12/08. We were charged almost 4 times the original quote. Lots of our stuff was damaged and missing!!! There were even dead roaches in our boxes! The list goes on and on! We took pictures of the damages and are trying to figure out what to do! I feel your pain! we moved over 3,000 miles as if that wasnt stressful enough!

I too was scammed by these horrible people the creeps took over half of my belongings as I'm sure you have already read. I'm surprised they delivered any of your stuff at all. They closed there doors DEC 31st 2008 and there are over 100's of people this has already happened to each of them are in the same boat. The BBB doesn't really help with anything because they will just send them your complaint and if your lucky DM will respond with mostly lies. You can try filing with the small claims court but because they are not a company anymore nothing will happen. I hate to say this but there is nothing any of us can do now and we all have to right this off as a lose. I am personally a person who wants to keep fighting these scumbags but i have exhausted all my options I reported them to every company fraud agent i could think of even to the FBI and to Tim Roberts who is a DOT agent and he even said there wasn't anything he could do because we already paid for the service most of our stuff was delivered and because they were closing down there doors. You could spend more money on a lawyer or on small claims court but because its too late and DM doesn't exists anymore you will not win. I am the last person who want's to come to turms with this and i hate saying that there is nothing we can do but its the truth and everyone needs to come to terms with it as well. Again i am so sorry this happened to you and I know that it did teach us all a good lesson. Good luck to you and your family.

Andrea
