devcon security moved and refuse to cancel service marion ohio

 We had Brinks secruity and had already met our contract and had no ties to anyone...well the guy that hooked up our Brinks secruity had changed jobs to Devcon and asked if we would be willing to switch to them with free hook up and even move secruity breaks etc... So we said yes. The most important thing I asked was can this be transfered or cancelled if we sell our house and he said yes!! I asked because my house was up for sale when they came to the house signed the contract and installed the system.

Well it took 18 months to sell our house, when I called to cancel because we moved into an apartment for now they said I was under contract for another 1.5 years and couldn't cancel or had to pay one big lum sum. They had also closed down in the columbus area and now is being ran by a 3rd party secruity place..anyways they said if the people that purchase our home would agree to transfer it into their name we would be release so I got the new homeowners to agree to take over and they call in to Devcon which is now saying I'm sorry we can not do this as we no longer service the area. WHATTT!!

So I can't cancel I get get it at our apartment they will not let the homeowners take over and I am stuck paying a monthly bill for another 1.5 without even getting the services. I have good credit so I have no opition but to pay it as I don't want a hit on my credit record.Devcon is such a scam and the thing is I would have never switch from Brinks if I would have know they was going to do this. It makes no sence of why I would have agreed to do that when i was under no other contract at the time.I will make sure to tell anyone not to use them, but I guess it don't matter since they are closed and still charging for services!!!
