DeVry University Preys on Disabled Veterans Ft. Washington Pennsylvania

I am a combat disabled veteran who was courted by Devry.  I was upfront with Devry with my medical conditions, one of them a brain injury with some learning disabilities.  They said they accomidated people like me and offered help.  This is a bold face LIE.  I struggled with some of Devry's classes and failed some repeadidly costing tax payers more money with every time I had to retake the failed courses.  When I asked Devry for help and told them my issues they basically brushed me off.  The last 2 classes I need to complete my Associates Degree are online only and I have failed repeadidly because I need a physical teacher not an online teacher that decides a week after assignments are due to respond back to you.  Devry it seems is pushing for online only and getting rid of its in school classes to cut cost and charge more.  By doing this online teachers take on 4-6 classes per session which means they are stretched thin and rely on the students to undertsand what is being taught.

Because I have a brain injury I need accomidations and one is a physical class with a physical teacher to help me through my road bloacks.  I have told Devry this countless times for them to just get a brush off.  So as instructed by my VA vocational rehabilitation counselor to stop going to Devry and finish my degree elsewhere.  Issue is most of Devry's credits do not transfer to real colleges.

Another issue is I was finally deemed 100% disabled because of my Iraq injuries and applied to my student loans to be forgiven.  As of 9/28/2016 I was awarded student loan forgiveness to have my loans discharged, which happened except for one which Devry university held.  The federal perkins loan in question went into repayment on 7/2016 but as I am unemployed and stuggling to pay for food and a place to live I didn't have the money to pay them.  So every month I called and updated them on my situation.  This did nothing and they did nothing to help me.  I asked for forms they were telling me to fill out but could not find these forms and they would say we would mail them out to find out nothing was mailed out repeadidly.  7/2016, 8/2016, 9/2016, and then on 10/2016 they contacted me and said if I do not pay up the past due amount I would be going into collections.  Even after telling them im a disabled veteran on a fixed income with no employment or possibility of employment on the horizen.

So on 11/2016 I am now being hounded by a debt collection agency called "General Revenue Corporation" for a $2,460.35 student loan that should have been discharged on 09/28/2016, when NELNET sent Devry an email for "Loan Holder Notification" telling Devry to release all loans I have to NELNET.  So the relased em all except this one.  I have called Devry to get a run around and then called UAS (Devrys accounting arm) to also get no where.  Devry says they have the email from NELNET while UAS says they never recieved an email.  Upon contacting NELNET they informed me Devry is an issue in general and are sorry they can't help me out because its Devry's issue.  Devry says they will call you back but never do.  Devry says alot of stuff but does nothing or the opposite.  This school is not a school its a scam that preys on low income people and especially veterans.  This school loves to take on disabled veterans to prey on them and screw them over and not care one bit about the human life they are screwing after the government screwed us by starting a war and causing us to be injured and fail to adequately medically take care of us.  

So now I have a collections on my credit report preventing me from getting a debt consolidation loan I desperatley need to help me with my overall situation with having too many bills and not enough money to cover them.  I am on a fixed income and need help but cant get it because of this collection.  

F* DEVRY and hope they die like they are making me do!  I will just be another veteran suicide statistic and DEVRY this is your doing.  No Degree, means no JOB.  Collections means no help financialy from banks.  Homeless and foodless so whats the point to keep living if companies can screw disabled vets let alone citizens.  So in death is the only peace and relief I will get.  Atleast in death I won't be getting shaked down from money I dont have!
