DeVry University Waste of My Time and Money, Westminster Colorado
* : This is what happens...
* : College
I went there for my Master's and my beginning class was Algebra, I told them that I wasn't ready for it yet, and that it had been a long time and I needed to brush up. They talk me into taking the class with one other person, thinking that i would get specialized instruction. No way this woman went throught everything really fast and wouldn't spend time with me. She wasn't there half the time! They were just using me as a body so that they could conduct the class. So to make a long story short i had to pay for a undergraduate algebra class which i liked. The first class was wasted, I couldn't make it and I told them that in the begginning. I dropped out because they were a bunch of fakes!

... when you decided to "attend" a college that advertises between Young and the Restless and Jerry Springer.
I don't want to be mean, but if you find that you "aren't ready for algebra" and are wanting to obtain a masters degree, then you ought to take a step back. Going for a masters would mean you have a bachelors. To obtain a bachelors you would have to complete a college level algebra course during or before you received that degree.

Yeah college is tough. They aren't there to cradle you like an infant, they are there to teach you the things that are above and beyond general education. If you "don't get" algebra you could get a tutor, or buy a book and learn it. As it is you took a class that you deem wasn't "personal" enough...You claim the teacher didn't spend enough time with you. News Flash...teachers aren't there to spend a ton of "personal time" with you...that is what tutors are for, teachers are there to give you the material, give you the tools you need to learn it, and to test you to assure you did learn it. Now nice teachers and good teachers will spend reasonable amounts of personal time with you....but that's not really their job, that's a bonus, especialy not on basic bare-bones level catch-up classes.
Sound to me like you should have gotten a tutor.
