DHL was notified of their courier failure to collect a signature and parcel being lost. (Shipment tracking number 23106192XXX, Claim # 082447XX)They admitted to the mistake but refused to pay for the replacement of merchandise. They were very deceiving and claimed that courier had a signature on file, then when they were challenged, they admitted that they did not have the signature on file to leave the package without a signature. Even if they did, per their policy, once a customer request and pay for signature required service; the letter on file is void.
As of today DHL only covered $100.00 of the claim of $1,000.00 and they refused to cooperate. We believe that the company breeched their service contract and should pay the full amount to replace the parcel that they lost
Resolution Sought: Stop their denial and pay for their mistake. They failed to do what they were paid to do; they need to pay for the remaining replacement cost of $900.00

Insurance?
AUTHOR: D - (U.S.A.)

did you insure the package for it's full value? If not, then you may not be able to receive any more compensation depending on DHL's policy. Without the paid insurance and back up, how do they know that what you sent was worth $1000? And if you did not insure something you sent that was valued at $1000, why would you expect DHL to pay for your mistake?
