Diamond Candles in Durham,NC is NOTHING but a HUGE scam, they claim they put rings in all their candles ranging in worth from $10 to $5,000. while there are rings inside the candles NONE of the rings are worth ANYTHING, 2 people including me (3 people) bought candles from them and our rings weren't worth a d**n, NO ONE is gonna put a $5,000 ring inside a candle.

Candles themselves aren't very expensive, this company is all over Facebook falsly advertising that they put rings that can be worth $100 $1,000 or even $5,000. One person said they're wasn't even worth $5.00 and it was all gunked up, mine wasn't gunked up but mine also wasn't worth $5.00 and the stone was plastic. Someone pays $25.00 +shipping for a candle to get a junk ring worth nothing, ANY woman out there would die to have a $5,000 especially if it's a diamond. NONE are even Diamonds, they're various color stones. This company is online only and NEEDS to be shut down IMMEDIATELY for false advertising

How do you know?

AUTHOR: marinemom - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 04, 2016

Have you bought every candle they have?  How do you know others have not gotten rings worth something?  I think your comment is a bit exaggerating and should be rethought.  I know of a few decent rings retrieved and read many have gotten them and are pleased.  Nobody made you buy the candles.

Never expect much.

ToI agree with the fact that most rings are just cheap, howeitver I ordered a exspensive 50 dollar candle, I never received my candle, after many emails to them and thrwatening with the police, they sent it to a wrong address, tried toblane me for their mistake, promising to send me another, we will see, its suppostt to be shipped  soon hmmm. What does that mean?  I will never recommend them again, and never order no matter how good it smells. Just for the way they have treated me, they said they dont have a customer phone number yet continuing with my search I found one. Why lie about it, if your product is that good, get it right, dont blame the customer for your mistakes and handle your mistake the first response, not after I threaten with the police.

Illogical Standards and Faulty Information

AUTHOR: Th Iron Fist - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 14, 2016

It is extremely illogical to give every person that buys a candle a diamond ring, for obvious reasons. Diamond Candles lets everyone know that your chances at winning a ring is very low, in fact 1:100; 1:1000; 1:5000. You knew this when buying the candle, and if you did not, taking time to read over a "too good to be true" product is probably a good idea. Millions of people buy lottery tickets every day not knowing whether they have a chance at winning, but they play because they have a chance. That is exactly what Diamond candles is doing on a lower scale size. Also when making a public complaint please justify your sources, as saying that "someone told me it was worth only $5" does not show any evidential value what so ever. Please identify your source as well as reasoning for saying that NONE of the candles have high value rings, as right now all you have specified with is that you and a few others have not won. Have you taken a mass survey on the other purchasers of these candles, or does this conclusion come from within your own experience? Please make sure to read directions throughly, and make sure you understand the conditions of a product you are buying.

Crazy

Hope this person never buys a lottery ticket or goes to a Casino. If so they are in for a world of butt hurt. I use to buy 20-25 dollar yankee candles unitl I discovered diamond candles. The yankee candles didnt even come with any kind of extra surprise. Maybe I should file a complaint on Cracker Jack's because my box didnt have a good prize inside it.

Unrealistic Expectations

AUTHOR: Precious Gem Candles - ()

POSTED: Monday, February 17, 2014

It appears that this customer has very unrealistic expectations.  I've purchased these candles before, and although I didn't get a valuable ring, it was definitely worth $10!  Their claims of value are realistic, and I believe they are a genuine company.  If you check them out a little more, you'll see where people have gotten valuable rings in their candles.  I was happy with my ring and my candle, even though I've never "hit the jackpot".

Really?

AUTHOR: Dirtjump - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 25, 2013

this is ridiculous, you and a whopping 3, wow 3, of your friends each didnt get a 5000$ ring? that is so shocking?

...Now do you see how ridiculous this sounds. The company would not exist if 1 in 3 people who buy a 25$ candle get a free 5000 dollar ring. I mean do you even know how the lottery works? Do you know anyone whos ever won the lottery? No. But Im guessing you know people who buy lottery tickets.

No I do not work for this company, nor do I buy their products. But my girlfriend just got one of these candles and I was researching the product. This report is beyond rational or hopeful, this is just spiteful. I registered just to stick up for this company, they seem extremely genuine and even explain how this all works on their website. I see absolutely no evidence of false claims or false advertising. To anyone who is buying one of these candles hoping for a payout, you need to learn math and realize the odds are against your favor. Take my advice and realize this is a great fun gift for anyone who likes candles, the ring isman added bonus. If you win, wow, thats really lucky, if you dont enjoy the candle like we did. better than yankee which doesnt even have a chance of a jackpot

Every Candle includes a ring worth anywhere from $10-$5k - it's true!

AUTHOR: Savannah - ()

POSTED: Friday, August 02, 2013

Hi!!

My name is Savannah and I am a Customer Support Supervisor for Diamond Candles.

Seeing Customer tickets come in each day I know what customers think and I know what some customers do get.  We get letters each day telling us how they wish their candle contained the $5k ring or even one of the smaller ones such as $1k or even $100 dollars.  The truth is each ring put in is completely random.  We buy many of of lower end rings (costume jewelry like ones) wholesale, much like Walmart or Target does with their $10 rings.  Some feel of lower quality be they are the same as any of the retail chains would sell.  They are not plastic.  I assure you we do put quality rings in our candles as well.  We obviously cannot make every candle have a $5,000 dollar ring in it, that would be too outrageous for a $25 dollar candle.  Additionally, our candles are pretty reasonably priced for what you get.  You get a large 21 oz soy candle that can fill your home with Scentiful pleasures with ease, plus the added bonus of possibly getting that big winner!

Some people post their rings for others to see and some people don't.  I will attach one of our pinterest pages for you to see some of the rings that have been appraised at a jewelry shop for our customers: http://pinterest.com/diamondcandles/100-rings/

The rings on that Pinterest page are all over $100 dollar value.

As a side note: I personally have purchased quite a few candles and have yet to obtain a big winner, I am hopeful that one day I will be lucky enough to be a winner!

In closing, I hope you realize that we are indeed a real legitimate company that strives to bring a little extra excitement to your purchase by providing you the chance to win a $5,000 ring.

Thank you for the chance to explain our company, I hope we get to hear from you soon!
