A company called Digital Monopoly, (2/8 Welshpool Rd, East Victoria Park WA 6101, Australia) called me to generate business. I wanted a website built for my business to be put on the internet later in the year, not right away.

 

A few weeks down the track I realised the contract I had signed had stated that my website was to go live on the internet ASAP. The sales person (Syvia) had ignored everything I said and written on the contract - they completely had their own agenda.

 

Initially I had agreed to pay the company upfront only half of the fee $ 650 and the rest on completion. The website nearly completed, and the Manager of the company Ben Barling contacted me and said I had to pay the full fee upfront or they would discontinue my website. I  was put on the line to their accounts dept. A lady called Rachel who was very good at manipulating me to pay the entire amount $1700 upfront or they would not finish my website.

 

Wanting the website finished I paid the full amount $1300 in full. The company then told me I had to pay $ 200 for archiving the website for later in the year

 

I then got cold feet and said no, this wasn't what I asked for and tried to back out of the contract.

 

I walked away with nothing, no website, only a bunch of files which I doubt would actually amount to anything. This company need to be exposed. They are crooks. One doesn't have to look very far on the internet to find customers disgruntled by Digital Monopoly. They need to be exposed. I think they are scum, don't deliver what they promise I lost $1700. I am left with nothing, I  have to pursue them through the Courts to get my money back. Take my advice, do not deal with this company. You wil be lied to, misled, bullied to pay them. What a waste of $1300

 

The CEO of the company is a crook too, he has been to the district Court for stealing money from the company.
