Can somebody please explained to me what happened to the real DirecTV Friendly Customer Service with the  service first started  through-out the US. The so call phone operators sound just like that TV Commercial where the man answers the phone and tell you his name is Mary. All he say is yes, then quietly, hang up on you.  Im partly blind, my payment was past due according to my online DirecTV account. On 9/12/10  It said my service was scheduled to be interrupted 9/8/10.  My service was never interrupted what so ever. As of 9/12/10 I paid $92 according to online account that stated was past due?  A week later DirecTV interrupted my service. I called only to be told I owed $188. But they would except $184. For now. The Customer Tech did not want to hear my explanation she tried to convince me my service was off as of 9/8/10 anyway and that I should happy I got free service until it was interrupted. At that point and not one to ever hurt a female. I guess this is why God helped man I invented the telephone. How dare her. I went onto explain to her DirecTV just want to charge a reconnection fee and aiding that third party company to collect $3.00 from every customer who uses that service what a rip-off. My daughter even call he DirecTV to also complained about  the reconnection rip-off and the interruption of service as an attempt to squeeze money out of their customers.  Sometime during that evening DirecTV restored my service. A week later I paid an addition $55.00 as they requested to bring my account current.  A week later I got a bill from DirecTV for $188. And another threat to interrupt my service on 10/8/10. What the hell! I called again for an explanation. They told me that they never received my 55.00. During this conversation  the Customer Service Tech got into a laughing mood with his Co-Worker, he told me his manager was too busy to talk to me, after I request to speak to one. I missed that DirecTV Manager call back that next morning. I instead  went to the Authorize DirecTV Payment Center where I paid my bill and found that their Teller had added too many zeros on my account sending my payment elsewhere. DirecTV made good of their threat again. Now, Im truly pissed -off. I follow any comply to their request for payment according to their demands.  They tried to explain the new $188.00 going back now to August billing. By this time if anyone ever heard an explanation  of a DirecTV bill they would have better luck balancing to book for the US Treasury Department. A payment was made towards my account and again they were very rude  by disrupting my service without even a phone call or an updated bill to my home, DirecTV SHAME ON YOU TREATING YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS. Guess what . I been a customer of DirecTV since it started in my area of Philadelphia and Im a disabled Senior. I pay $97.00 a month for just Basics and Stars. Cant wait until FIOS who charge to start for one year $99.00 a month for most everything.    Cant wait DirecTV. Enjoy treating your Customers like crap while you can. God bless :(

I totally  understand the way your feeling. Up until a few months ago I was a customer of DTV and always paid my bill online through there website and on or before the due date. when all of the sudden I went online to pay my bill and it was over 300.00 to which i called customer service right away, asked why my bill was more than double they said i was behind. no i pay every month on time... they said the payment from Feb was returned back to your card as unauthorized use. What? no way why would I pay the bill and then turn around and cancel the payment. Cust rep said maybe you needed the money for something else. I couldn't believe what i had just heard and i told her no way I wouldn't do that. She kept insisting that is what i had done. I said i would check with my card co and get right back to her. When i checked my statements from Feb to what was not July nothing had been returned back to my card. I called the card co they to said nothing had been charged back to my card. It shows all payments have gone through as paid. called back DTV told them there must be a mistake i had not had any payments returned. The cust svc rep told me straight out i was lying and i had to pay all that was owed or the would turn off my svc. I argued with her ask to speak with a supervisor was told no one was there that could help me only her. after arguing for about 20 mins i hung up got all my facts together faxed them to DTV In CA and they still are trying to get money from me and have turned it to a collection agency. THEY WANTED ME TO PROVE IT I DID PROVE I PAID IT AND WHAT THEY DID WITH THE PAYMENT NO ONE KNOWS ALL THEY KEEP SAYING IS I OWE THE MONEY. I SHUT IT OFF AND WONT PAY A DIME TIL THEY FIND MY FEB PAYMENT. Still waiting.....

            Here we have a case whereby. The computer is always right  and the humans are always wrong.

            But we forget that humans programmed the computers to help us out. What ever happened to quality control. The CSR's don't know how to respond anymore. Without the computer telling the CSR's how to respond .

           Maybe someone with a brain should be put back in charge instead of the computer.
